Control Diary (Ten)
Calm, waiting for the lockdown to be lifted.
It has been 10 days living in the controlled area for a week + 3 days, still 4 days away from the minimum 14-day threshold for lifting the lockdown.
Today life is particularly calm, with fine drizzle, a gentle north wind, and a temperature of 16°C giving the quiet community a feeling of early winter in Guangzhou.
The nucleic acid sampling area by the community swimming pool is empty. Will nucleic acid testing resume tomorrow?

The fallen leaves covering the small lawn are filled with the melancholy, loneliness, and desolation of the Qingming season.

The reflection of the residential buildings reflects the hard work of the cleaning staff during the pandemic; silence here speaks louder than words.

When will the rain and sewage diversion project, lying quietly, be able to resume work? When will production and work restart?

Yuncheng West Road, about 1000 meters from our community, has been adjusted to a prevention zone.
Although our Qifu Road, just 100 meters away, has also been adjusted to a prevention zone, it is still strictly controlled like a lockdown area. No one knows why.

The social vehicles on Qifu Road have basically been reduced to zero.
Suddenly, I thought of the term "social zeroing" that has been frequently mentioned recently regarding the COVID-19 virus.
What is "social zeroing"?
First, we need to understand what "society" is.
"Society" is the total relationship formed by people and the environment.
So what is "social area"?
I searched online, but surprisingly couldn't find an authoritative explanation for "social area".
The official explanation of "social zeroing":
It is a state of epidemic prevention and control, referring to the situation after the occurrence of local COVID-19 outbreaks, where through comprehensive prevention and control, all newly confirmed cases or asymptomatic infections are found in isolated control places or closed-loop management places, with no positive infections appearing in the social area, effectively controlling the risk of community transmission of the epidemic.
From this explanation, I roughly understand that "social area" refers to regions outside of "lockdown areas" and "control areas".
It is clear that achieving "social zeroing" is a condition for "lifting the lockdown".
Tomorrow we will have to do nucleic acid testing again. This will be the ninth time! Preparing for "lifting the lockdown".

Forget about that, food is the priority for the people.
【Stir-fried Carrots with Meat】
Slice the lean meat and marinate it with cornstarch and soy sauce for 10 minutes.
Shred the carrots and set aside.
Put an appropriate amount of light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, aged vinegar, pepper powder, and chili sauce in a bowl and set aside.
Stir-fry the lean meat in the pan until just cooked, then take it out and set aside.
Stir-fry the shredded carrots for 1 minute, add the cooked lean meat, stir-fry for 10 seconds, add the sauce, and stir well to finish.

【Smashed Cucumbers】
Wash the cucumber, cut it in half, and then smash it with a knife before cutting it into sections and placing it in a bowl.
Mix an appropriate amount of light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, aged vinegar, minced garlic, and chili sauce in another bowl, then drizzle it over the cucumbers and mix to finish.

【Pan-fried Dumplings】

The happiest thing today was welcoming a new pickleball player—Mr. Zhang Canhua. He was originally my badminton friend. After trying it out yesterday, he played with me at the community badminton court for over an hour today. His skill is impressive! Until he hit the pickleball out of the community (control area).
This is exactly:
People idle as the last leaves fall, in the silence of control.
In the midst of lonely flowers, the pickleball soars high.
